Lillian’s 3 month session in Atlanta

First off, if baby pictures give you the itch for one, this week is rough here on the blog isn’t it? This beautiful little girl is the daughter of Christine and Joe, one of our 2007 couples.  She was born on Halloween, and we could not wait to meet her in person for a photo session.  She has a knitted Christening gown made years ago by her grandmother that all of her cousins have worn before her, and it was just beautiful.  We cannot wait to see her again for her next session!

Unbelievable….

Wow…. What else is there to say?  If this photo does not give you any sort of hope in life, poeple, and the American spirit, I’m not sure anything will.  I want this pilot to run for President!  I think he’s proven he can handle the stress. We have taken this  flight from LaGuardia to Charlotte at least three times in recent years, same airline, same plane.  One time, there was so much turbulence that Rae left permanent fingernail marks in the armrest, and everyone clapped for the pilot when we finally landed at LaGuardia after rockin’ and rolling for an hour. This flight offers the most spectacular views of NYC, but I always asked myself “what if”? Now we know.  usair

How far we have come

Has anyone gotten the e-mail circulating with the studio portraits from a well known, unnamed (rhymes with Polan Chills), chop shop studio attached? It shows everything from bad mullets, to bad backgrounds, to future serial killers posed in the most boring studio light imaginable. Well, I got that e-mail today and it got me thinking. So I grabbed my old album and starting looking for my own cheesy studio portraits. It’s amazing how far the photography industry has come as whole. While you can still get this style of family photo, it’s definitely nice to have options this day and age. Here’s a little flashback to the 70’s!

Don’t you love the faux fur just thrown over a stool of some sort? No comments about the knee socks!! They were manly in the 70’s….

A little older in this one, we have the shag elbow prop for that young professional look!

Now, my mom made all three of these matching shirts…… She did a great job, but to this day I think this is why I encourage people NOT to dress alike for photos. How bout them collars? We just escaped from prison for this one!

Yenny and John in Destin

Yenny and John live in Houston, and wanted to celebrate their 5 years of marriage with a vow renewal in Destin.  Yenny’s family came in from Singapore, and John’s family left a snow-covered Ohio for a beautiful week in our area between Christmas and the New Year.   It ended up being a blustery afternoon, but sometimes this sort of weather makes for the best photos.  They gave us time to play for a couple of hours, so we piled up in their limo and hit different spots along the beach.   The beach session was followed with a great dinner for eight and a relaxed evening between two families.

Ceremony: Henderson Beach State Park

Reception: Zampieri’s at Destin Yacht Club

I’m not sure who did the florals, but this bouquet was beautiful

They wanted photos in the lobby of Zampieri’s and these two had the look to pull off some classic photography, so we played a little more and I absolutely love these next few images.
