2008 Promo Shoot

I was cleaning out some files and came across this shoot we did for SW Magazine last year. They ended up not being used in the final cut, so I wanted to show off these beautiful dresses and ladies on the blog. You might remember Heather as one of out 2007 brides. Isn’t she just the cutest? These were taken at Big Sexy Food here in Pensacola with the marina shots at Pensacola Yacht Club.

Carillon Weddings

Rae and I have been sitting on this for a few weeks until it became official, and now it is. We are proud to announce that we have joined the exclusive vendor list of Carillon Beach. Carillon is one of the top destination wedding communities on the Gulf Coast, with an atmosphere that is above and beyond most other venues. For these reasons, we are also proud to be able to promote Carillon for consideration to our brides who are looking for this type of setting. Be sure to check out the link to their site below, and drop them a note if you are interested in a beautiful Carillon wedding.

Attention outdoor enthusiasts….

What good is having this blog if I cannot use it for person gain right? The Spring Season is quickly approaching and I am looking for people who want to have fun. Every Wednesday, Pensacola Yacht Club will be hosting fun regattas on Pensacola Bay. The boat usually leaves the dock around 6 PM and returns anywhere between 8 and 9 PM. That’s plenty of time to get there after work! I am always looking for “Zoom Crew” who want to learn to sail whether you currently know anything about sailing or not. Guys, gals, in-betweens, it’s all good. (Well, maybe not that last part). Want to bring a date? Sure. This IS NOT limited to clients only. All I ask is that if you get seasick easily, this may not be for you. E-mail me at wesley@raeleytham.com if you want to be put on my fun race distribution list with weekly updates on practice dates and availability. If you want to meet some new people and enjoy sunsets on Pensacola Bay, we’d love to have you join us. Maybe we’ll even make it a weekly blog post.

Where are all the posts?

Well, January and February is definitely the slow season for weddings in this area. We are using the free time to catch up on some album designs from 2008, and do all sorts of business maintenance for the upcoming season. My goal in the very near future is to fill some of the down time here on the blog with our family and newborn sessions you never saw from the 2008 Christmas season. I also want to do some new “before and after” examples to show what one of our straight out of camera proofs looks like verses a graphically enhanced photo.

The 2009 wedding season looks like it’s going to be our busiest yet, with currently 9 (yes, I said NINE) weddings in May and then 6, possibly 7 in June. We also have a busy April with a wedding near Orlando that promises to be fantastic! Most of these weddings are in Destin, Panama City, Gulf Shores, and Mobile, AL, which adds 3-6 hours of driving time to our schedule every week for weddings alone. I am telling you all of this because one of the things that will have to be trimmed back due to our schedule this year will be the blogging of family photo sessions this summer. If you have a session booked for May, June, or July, we will probably wait until August to blog a photo or two from summer family sessions. I will also probably trim wedding blog posts from the usual 20-25 photos to maybe 10-15 depending on our time. With all that said, please don’t get your feelings hurt if you’re not on the blog immediately following your family session :-) ! I know I said this before, but we are just so delighted to be so busy this year and thank everyone who is visiting this blog. We have consistently maintained a new record of over 5,100 hits per month for the last three months and it really motivates us to work harder! It feels great to be overworked!!! If you are in California, New York, or Georgia, we definitely see you stopping by with over 1,000 hits last month from these three states alone.
