Well, January and February is definitely the slow season for weddings in this area. We are using the free time to catch up on some album designs from 2008, and do all sorts of business maintenance for the upcoming season. My goal in the very near future is to fill some of the down time here on the blog with our family and newborn sessions you never saw from the 2008 Christmas season. I also want to do some new “before and after” examples to show what one of our straight out of camera proofs looks like verses a graphically enhanced photo.
The 2009 wedding season looks like it’s going to be our busiest yet, with currently 9 (yes, I said NINE) weddings in May and then 6, possibly 7 in June. We also have a busy April with a wedding near Orlando that promises to be fantastic! Most of these weddings are in Destin, Panama City, Gulf Shores, and Mobile, AL, which adds 3-6 hours of driving time to our schedule every week for weddings alone. I am telling you all of this because one of the things that will have to be trimmed back due to our schedule this year will be the blogging of family photo sessions this summer. If you have a session booked for May, June, or July, we will probably wait until August to blog a photo or two from summer family sessions. I will also probably trim wedding blog posts from the usual 20-25 photos to maybe 10-15 depending on our time. With all that said, please don’t get your feelings hurt if you’re not on the blog immediately following your family session
! I know I said this before, but we are just so delighted to be so busy this year and thank everyone who is visiting this blog. We have consistently maintained a new record of over 5,100 hits per month for the last three months and it really motivates us to work harder! It feels great to be overworked!!! If you are in California, New York, or Georgia, we definitely see you stopping by with over 1,000 hits last month from these three states alone.
