This Saturday will officially kick off our non-stop, adrenalin filled, high impact, wedding season! Yeeeaaah. Look for the action to return here to the blog next week. In the meantime, we’re going to do something that should have been done a long time ago, and update our favorite vendors in the blogroll at the top of the page. These are alll vendors that we have worked with, or know enough about their reputations to refer them. We are glad to be able to send referrals sometimes indirectly from the blog, and you will never see a business listed in the blogroll unless we feel they are uniquely qualified to handle your wedding. These vendors are out there working hard and are always glad to have your business.
We get a lot of wedding inquiries outside of our area, so today we are adding two new event planners to our blogroll. The first is Michelle Lemiga, owner of Lemiga Events in Atlanta, Georgia. We met Michelle at the SWS Magazine premiere in Atlanta and have been huge fans of her work ever since. Here’s a photo of Michelle and Rae in Atlanta…

Our second favorite new planner is Melissa DiStefano with Masterpiece Weddings in Gainesville, FL. We feel like we have known Melissa forever, and she is “the” person to go to for central/north FL wedding planning. We look forward to working with Melissa for her friend’s wedding in Destin in May.

If you are in need of a wedding planner near either one of these great ladies, please get in touch with them and look at their beautiful work!

You won’t believe how many of our clients are having babies! I am overwhelmed! I am a little ashamed for taking so long to get these posted, but I hope I will be forgiven. This post will have 3 babies, so be sure to scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN!
Danielle and Kenneth were blessed with identical twin girls the week before Christmas. Danielle was in the hospital on bedreast for MANY weeks and the babies were delivered a day shy of 35 weeks. One of the twins was not growing as much as she should have been, but the other twin was the one that caused them to go ahead and deliver. Girls!!…they are just born with drama! Aurora Nicole was 2 pounds, 4 ounces and Bettye Katheryne was 4 pounds, 4 ounces. They were both SO healthy despite some normal preemie stuff, and they came home in January. It is so funny to see their size differences knowing that they are identical!
Aurora!

I cheated on this one. I took this one of BK the same day I took Aurora’s. The other 2 of her were a few weeks before Aurora came home.

We all knew Natalie would make an appearance on a special day, but we thought it would be Christmas. Her parents got married on April Fool’s Day, so they are cool like that. Suzanne went into labor while watching the Pensacola pelican drop on the local TV station right before midnight on New Year’s Eve. Natalie was not the first baby to be born in Pensacola in 2009, but she WAS the first baby born at Baptist Hospital for 2009. Oh…she was also the ONLY baby born at Baptist that day! Lee and Suzanne really scored some fun “prizes” for that too!

So, here are just 3 of the cutest kids in our lives. We are so blessed to have clients that turned into friends. I can’t wait to show you more of the babies that come along. Heather is due….umm 2 days ago and Jamie is due in 2 months. Nadia and Sara are due in September and August. OH….the Sara that I mention just happens to be Wesley’s sister. OH YEAH!!! We are getting a new baby in the family! woohoo! Avery will be a great big cousin!
We received a couple of e-mails this week that I wanted to share. This is what we strive for with our business. It’s not just about showing up for a shoot and making photographs. It’s about the relationships we make, and the comfort we are able to give couples knowing they have chosen us for their photography. We’re always available to our clients to discuss the details of their wedding and guide them with locations and timing on the big day. We are so lucky to have the best couples anyone could ask for!

Thank you so much. We had a great time meeting with you yesterday. I think we have settled on a date and it will be March 13, 2010. After looking through about a dozen or so potographers websites and personally meeting with 5 of them, XXXX and I continue to find ourself always coming back to your website. You have fantastic personality that we believe would blend in well with our family and friends. We both thought that finding a photographer would be our biggest challenge, but after meeting with you all of our expectations were met and we are excited that we have chosen you guys to be part of our big day! We will be in touch next week to talk about sending a down payment, and I’m sure we’ll be in contact over the next year to talk details. I think I’m most excited about you being there for the rehearsal dinner to capture lots of laughs and good cajun food so bring an appetite! Thanks so much for making this an easy decision.

Hi Rae,
This is XXXXX again. We had discussed a few months back having you as
our wedding photographer and we had to put our plans on hold for awhile.
We have checked with the Ezell House in Mobile and have pretty much decided
on May 1st, 2010 and I’m so hoping you’re available but we will look into
April if we need to.
I also wanted you to know that if I’m having a stressful day with school and
work, all I have to do is go browse your website and I’m instantly in a good
mood. You really are so good at what you do and your work has become one of
the most important aspects of our special day. I really mean that.

We did it. We went to “the other side” when we visited the beautiful campus of Auburn University for Sarah and Trey’s E-session. It was so worth it! We are Bama fans, but it didn’t hurt too badly since the campus is so beautiful. We met the happy couple outside of Toomer’s Drugs and we saw their school pride as they walked up. Orange and Blue all the way! They were so easy to photograph. They needed very little direction and they didn’t care that people were around.
We walked to some of their special places around campus and then we made our way back to Toomer’s. It was a little warm that day and Sarah suggested some of Toomer’s famous lemonade. Oh boy, that stuff is good! How weird is it that it snowed less than 2 weeks before this session and everyone around us was in shorts?
We look forward to their December wedding with the super talented ladies at It’s A Shore Thing. I really can’t wait to see all of the details.

My favorite!

Trey actually proposed on this swing…..

Oh how we love Spring!

and we’ll finish with a nice portrait!
